This Privacy Policy explains how Movihub Ai – Cinema Expert (“Movihub Ai”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related websites or services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1) Information We Collect

Account & Contact Information

If you choose to contact us or create an account in future versions: name, email address, and preferences.

Content You Submit

Queries you type, prompts you enter, and images/screenshots you optionally upload to use features such as “Find a Movie by Vibe”.

Usage & Diagnostics

App interactions, navigation flows, crash logs, performance data, and device settings (e.g., language, OS version, device model).

Device & Network Information

IP address and general location inferred from IP (city/country level), device identifiers generated by the app, and timestamps.

Purchases

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes your payment. We receive non-financial metadata such as the product identifier and transaction receipt to provide access.

Communications

Messages you send to our support team and their metadata.

We do not knowingly collect biometric data, your precise GPS location, or your device photo library contents unless you explicitly select files/images to upload for a feature.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the app and its core features.
• Operate AI-powered search and recommendation features.
• Personalize content such as “Trending,” “Popular,” and your saved list.
• Monitor performance, debug issues, and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
• Communicate with you about updates, support, and policy changes.

3) Third-Party Services and Content Sources

We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and AI processing. These providers act as processors on our behalf and may only use the data to deliver their contracted services to us.

3.1 The Movie Database (TMDb)

Movihub Ai integrates the TMDb API to fetch movie and TV metadata such as titles, posters, cast, ratings, and trailers. As required by TMDb, we provide the following notice:

When you search or view titles, our Services may send requests to TMDb in order to retrieve up-to-date information. In doing so, TMDb may receive standard technical logs (e.g., IP address, request time, user-agent) necessary to deliver their service. TMDb’s processing of such data is governed by their own policies. For details, please review the TMDb Privacy Policy and TMDb API Terms of Use.

4) Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

• Performance of a contract – to provide the Services you request.
• Legitimate interests – to secure and improve the app, measure usage, and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights.
• Consent – for optional features such as image uploads or certain analytics where required.
• Legal obligation – to meet regulatory or tax requirements.

5) How We Share Information

• Service Providers – hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tooling, and AI processing.
• Content Partners – including TMDb, solely to retrieve film and TV metadata.
• Business Transfers – in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer with appropriate protections.
• Legal and Safety – to comply with law, court orders, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.

We do not sell personal data.

6) Data Retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and delete or anonymize it when no longer needed.

7) International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and technical/organizational measures.

8) Your Rights

If you are in the EEA/UK or a region with similar laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

9) California Privacy Notice

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 10) Children’s Privacy

Movihub Ai is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us to request deletion.

11) Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure development practices. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

12) Your Choices

• Permissions – Control optional permissions (e.g., photo access) in device settings.
• Analytics – Where required, we ask for consent. You can withdraw consent in-app where available or by contacting us.
• Communications – Opt out of non-essential emails by following unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app.
